Hello! I’m Mike. I’ve provided therapy for hundreds of people and have been to therapy myself, so I have some idea of what you may be facing as you consider going to therapy. Perhaps your life has reached a point where you are desperate for change, perhaps you’re scared to confront certain topics, or perhaps you’re totally willing to go to therapy and are excited by the opportunity to have some space for yourself. Whatever you‘re going through, I will create a safe space where you can fully explore yourself and your life situation without judgment. You need that degree of freedom in order to feel safe enough to explore issues that you usually resist addressing.
I take an “eclectic” approach to therapy, meaning that I’m trained and experienced in many different forms of therapy and cater them to each individual client in each individual session. However, I naturally tend to take a person-centered and psychodynamic approach to therapy. Throughout my career I’ve provided therapy for people with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance misuse, psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and issues surrounding major life events such as a death or a faith crisis.
